This is the season of the New Orleans Pelicans may have ended in disappointment, however, they will be able to at the very least the fact that the rookie sensation of Zion Williamson had an outstanding debut campaign. So much so, that the 20-year-old was actually able to (almost) replicate the functionality of a growing number of feat, held by none other than the GOAT himself, Michael Jordan.

Zion Williamson’s rookie campaign has been mired with injuries, and that the review was only able to suit up for the Pelicans, for a total of 24 games. The pandemic is causing the pause, of course, also played a role in Zion’s shortened campaign.
After all, he was still able to have a very impressive scoring record, especially in view of the fact that, for the most part, he was on a strict minutes limit. With the first overall pick at the end of his rookie season with averages of 22.5 points (on a 58.3 shooting), 6.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in just 27.8 minutes per game played.

A number of major decisions have to be made, including the futures of Brandon Ingram, Jrue Holiday (he has a player option for the 2021-22 season, and Lonzo Ball, who are all entering the final year of their respective contracts, the following time period. It is unclear whether or not New Orleans is able to provide all three of these boys it is an extension, but at least we know that she will continue to build around the Work itself.
