This morning, Jason, Ronald, Director of Program management for Xbox, Series, X, has a blog post about the next-gen Xbox and the backwards compatibility with older Xbox games. From day 1, the Series X will be compatible with the games on all four generation of Xbox consoles.

The challenge is to be able to do this is explained in the blog post. First of all, it comes down to the differences in the chip architectures as well. The Series-X-a custom chip that has this capability, in addition to the design of the Xbox OS and the hypervisor.

With more than 100,000 hours of training in the testing of the old games in the Series, X -, in which the conclusion is reached that there are thousands of games will be played starting from the day of its release. The team hopes to have a clock of 200,000 hours at the time that the console is set to launch is planned for this holiday season.

In the Majority of Series X, it will be the best console to play old games, because the games run on the Series-X is the hardware itself. This means that you can expect to see faster page load times and, in some cases, a higher frame rate. Ronald explains that it is a new partnership with the Xbox Advanced Technology Group, suggests a way to automatically add a built-in HDR, support for the games. This is to be done with no impact on the game’s performance, and it can be applied to the games all the way back to the original Xbox.

The team will continue to listen to feedback from the community on additional titles that you would like to see added to the program’s compatibility issues. The story of the works of history, often presents as a complex mixture of technical and licensing disputes, but the team is determined to do everything we can to preserve our collective gaming heritage.

New techniques have been invented to make games that are not only higher resolution, but higher frame rates as well. Not all of the tracks will have the ability to, but some of them can double their frame rate from 30 fps to 60 fps or 60 fps to 120 fps.
