There is still plenty of time before Samsung launches the samsung Z, the Flip’s successor but that doesn’t mean that development hasn’t started yet. In fact, according to a design patent at the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office, Samsung is looking at two possible designs, both of which are equipped with a single camera module on the back.

The Model has A familiar design, with the horizontal placement of the camera, the larger the module, the second screen is used for notifications, it looks a little bit smaller. Whereas Model B assumes a vertical stack, so there’s a lot more room in the mini-OLED screen, which are growing in size as a result of it.

The patent itself does not disclose anything else, and there is no guarantee that Samsung would use one of these. However, it does point to the possibility of Samsung working on a design that takes a triple of cameras on the back, and it would be only logical in view of the fact that most of the flagships are at least three focal points.
