The deadline for the candidate’s submission of the November 3 General Election, 5:00 p.m., on Friday, the 7th of August. The seats will be open in the county’s schools, community service, special districts, and all cities and towns.
Candidates for city offices must file at their respective City Clerk. If all the incumbent firms in a firm do not file by the August 7 deadline, non-incumbent candidates have until Wednesday, August 12, in order to have the necessary paper work for you.

Anyone who is interested in running for office, it is required to call the Elections Office at (805)781-5228 to make an appointment, that the candidate’s papers can be prepared in advance to reduce the time for the Election of the Office.
Applicants are encouraged to follow all of the guidelines for occupational health and safety (i.e., physical distance, facial masks, hand sanitizer, and use of personal, pen, etc.).
