After the announcement of the decision to make the transfer portal in the last month, the former Huskers wide receiver J. D, Spielman to Texas Christian University (TCU), reports 247 Sports. The former Nebraska player, will be playing in the Big 12 conference this upcoming season, as long as the NCAA gives him a waiver to play for his new school. Husker fans have expressed their disappointment at how Spielman’s departure played out.
Spielman links Huskers
In March of this year, Coach will Scott Frost announced J. D, Spielman it would not take part in the team’s spring training camp. However, Coach Prince told reporters that the talented wide receiver would join the team for the 2020 season to kick off.
The Fans were surprised, however, if the player has announced his decision to transfer the portfolio. Over his three seasons with the Huskers, Spielman may have been the most productive player on the team. He was placed in 800 receiving yards in each of his seasons with the team, and he finished his career at Nebraska with 2,546 total yards and 18 touchdowns. Spielman is third on the team’s list of all-time and the receivers caught 170 passes.
Unfortunately for Husker fans, as Spielman is playing his final year of college eligibility at TCU. Coach Prince has been Spielman’s loss will be tough for his team to overcome this season. In a previous interview, Coach Frost called Spielman, an attacking midfielder, and he has admitted that the team would miss out on his veteran leadership in the locker room.
However, the Prince revealed that he had spoken with the wide receiver before he was at the transfer portal, and they all agreed that it was a good time for you to move in. Experts expect Spielman to make TCU a more competitive force in the The Big 12 conference. As for the Stadium, the team will have to rely on a bunch of talented, but inexperienced wide receivers this season.
The young players
Nebraska Huskers hope that young players such as Omar Harding, and Mark Fleming to be productive. The two players have the raw talent to make an immediate impact for the Huskers’ offense. However, the team’s quarterback, Adrian Martinez, will have to improve on, after he has sunk in his second year.
Martinez struggled with injuries and poor play, but the Coach, Prince, and warned him to have a bounce-back season. Frost feels that Martinez could have stepped off the gas, after it has been assured of a starting job in his first season with the team. On his way to his first season with the Huskers, experts expect the two defenders to get back up to the top of his game. The season is expected to start on time, and in spite of the corona virus pandemicCoach Prince is preparing his team for the past couple of weeks. Husker players have posted a short video of their work, and routines on social media, as well as all of the team will be without Spielman, fans can expect a Stadium to have a competitive season.
