In his visits to the eastern Ladakh on Friday, the ministry of Defence Miniser Rajnath Singh personally conveyed his appreciation and compliments to the Army’s Bihar regiment, for displaying exemplary bravery and courage to be brave to fight against the Chinese forces in the Galwan Valley in a collision on the 15th of June.
In an interaction with the camp at Lukung ahead of heading out on the bank of Pangong lake, the minister of defence, beating a number of the men of the regiment, and while giving thanks for their courage in the protection of India’s pride and self-respect.
“Well-done. Congratulations to all of you, on behalf of all of us,” Singh, said to be one of the most senior members of the regiment, as the Commander of 14 Corps, Lt Gen Harinder Singh, the soldier, the minister of defense (dod).
The chief of the defence staff, Gen Bipin Rawat, the Army Chief, Gen MM Naravane, the Northern Army Commander, Lt Gen Yogesh Kumar Joshi and many other senior Military officers were also present on the occasion.
The Chinese and Indian forces clashed in the Galwan Valley, and for a few hours on the night of the 15th of June, in their fiercest battles in the last five decades, the left in 20 Indian Army personnel, including a Colonel from the dead. The incident greatly escalated border tension with India and called it “a premeditated and planned action by China.
The Chinese soldiers used rocks, nails and attached wooden sticks, iron rods and clubs, and the execution of the brazen attack on the Indian soldiers after they protested the erection of a surveillance post in China around the map (14), in the Galwan Valley.
China has not disclosed the number of casualties his troops suffered. According to a U.s. intelligence report, the number of casualties on the Chinese side, it was 35. Last month, Army Chief Gen M M Naravane award-winning “it is with great Pleasure Cards’ – five soldiers, for their bravery in the face of dealing with the Chinese forces in the Galwan Valley in a collision, if another violent incident at Pangong Tso.
The secretary of defense’s office on Sunday released a video of Singh’s interactions with the soldiers at Lukung. In his speech to the soldiers in the front seats is situated at a height of 14,000 feet, to the minister of defence said that the Indian soldiers have been killed in the Galwan Valley, it not only showed exemplary courage in the protection of the border, as well as to protect the pride, for more than 130 crore Indians.
“I just want to say that the country will never be forgotten. You have inspired the whole nation. You are our real strength,” he said, asserting that India will not cede one inch of its territory.
It was Singh’s first visit to Ladakh, and after the bitter border face-off between India and China commenced in several locations following a violent clash between the two sides, on the 5th of May, in the Pangong lake area.
