OnePlus launched in December 2013, and by 2015, it was still very young, and trying to figure out what kind of company it wanted to be, and what a line-up of eight years ago. Published in a “flagship killer” by the year, and that’s it?
The OnePlus X was the first to break the “one-phone-per-year model. It has been a year for the OnePlus 3T, the T-series and it is good for the production of the models came around.
The X has brought a number of firsts for the company and even the industry. Today, the phone is still unique in the OnePlus line-up, and, with the new OnePlus Nord can be seen as a spiritual successor to it, it’s really more of a cousin.
It’s been a few years now, so we have to put things in context. The OnePlus is launched to be a super-aggressive $300 price point in 2014. Then, in mid-2015, the OnePlus 2 to come and go at a slightly higher price, $330.
The OnePlus X is the budget option at $250 and offered a lot of value for their money when it came out at the end of 2015. We are reluctant to call it a mid-ranger,, but,, if the phone are capable of doing more than that, and if it’s not quite a match for the OnePlus 2.
The 5.0-inch AMOLED screen is the first thing that we need to talk about it. It was a little smaller than the 5.5″ panels of the OnePlus One and the OnePlus 2, in addition, that They, the X OnePlus’ first phone with an AMOLED panel. Every phone released since then has used an AMOLED display.
After that, the Snapdragon 801 chipset. It was a lot of power for $250, while the OnePlus 2 is, technically, was the premium chip set – the infamous Snapdragon 810. However, the performance of the S801 it was never a problem, as the Android always felt fast and responsive (and it didn’t have the S810 overheating issues).
This is a small phone with an 800 series chipset, it is as close as the OnePlus have the Xperia Compact phone. We can already hear some of you typing in that you want your company to be in, instead of to the left of the X.
However, according to the memory and configured to match the OnePlus 2, with 3 gb of RAM and 16 GB of storage, but the OnePlus X is not limited to the internal storage. It was the first and so far only phone to have a microSD card slot.
The phone did drop from the USB-C port, and his brother, and then went back to the micro usb, but in 2015, it wouldn’t be a big problem. At the very least, it is to keep on the alert, the slider which was introduced with the OnePlus 2 that allowed you to quickly turn on silent and the do-Not-Disturb mode.
The X was the first phone with a metal frame and a glass back. The 2 was sporting a Stone back on and it wouldn’t be up to the OP6 that the company is back to the metal-and-glass sandwich.
We have to talk about is the Ceramic edition, as well. It was exclusive to Europe, with a limited production run of only 10,000 units. And when it comes to the manufacturing process for the ceramic, and it lasted for 25 days, and you will understand why it is limited.
OnePlus claims that this is the first phone to make use of the ceramic – it was certainly a head-start on 2016, the Xiaomi Mi 5 And glass-Ceramic Systems. Oppo and Huawei have used ceramic tiles, but with the X in the first place.
Either way, not the Ceramic edition, it was difficult to come by, even if you need an invite to buy one. The invite system was never very popular with the fans, and luckily it was dropped off by the end of January 2016.
Also, in spite of the new glass, you may still be in the reach of the well-known OnePlus look at it with stone, carbon fiber and wood, for instances, as shown in the illustration below.
In the camera department, it was similar, but not quite up to par with the OnePlus 2. Both of them had a 13MP camera, but with the 2 added optical image stabilization as well as Laser PRINT. Around the front, and the X had an 8MP camera, and store the 2’s 5MP cam.
However, OnePlus is restricted to the X, and 1080p video recording, while in the original, It can do 4K at 30 fps. This was not a chipset limitation, by way of the S801, it is capable of 4K/30fps recording. Still, the camera performance was great considering the modest price tag.
We’re not sure why, but the OnePlus was quick to see the X behind you. The company launched the phone with Android 5.1 Lollipop (OxygenOS 2.1), updated to 6.0, the Marshmallow (OxygenOS 3.1), and that was the end of the road. Even in the original, the OnePlus has received two major OS updates.
For what it’s worth, the OnePlus 2 will also have got stuck on the popsicle stick, in spite of the promises that the ingredient or additive is that it has 64-bit processor will not help much in the end and the beginning, there were concerns that the X -, and 32-bit CPU may be an issue in terms of future software support).
The OnePlus X, it was not only the cheapest phone that the company has ever released, and it was also the smallest. And it is one of the most innovative devices in the line-up to start, seeing how it shook out in the original formula.
Don’t get me wrong, the north looks to be very competitive on the price. But it is a part of us that we have a genuine OnePlus, Z’, a, true successor to the x
Location, it offers the inspiration to draw from for the X. the price is the key to the north are significantly less than that of the flagship of the brother and sister of the 8-series. And that doesn’t cost a lot in terms of features, however, if you can still see the Liquid TOUCH-screen, which is a very similar camera setup, and 5G connectivity, it has the same battery tech. It’s just a little bit smaller, but it’s 6.78 is on the screen of the 8 Pro does include 6.44″ look… less great.
PS. the OnePlus Nord, is likely to be the first phone to be announced in the AR. However, in 2015, it was all about the SUN, so that the OnePlus 2 is the announcement concerned with Google Cardboard VR glasses.
