The Los Angeles Lakers are the team to beat in the Western Conference right now and we will have to assume that it’s going to be that way as long as LeBron James and Anthony Davis will stay with the team. Still, even the good things that can be improved upon from time to time.
It’s clear that the Lakers lack some depth at the point guard position. Rajon Rondo isn’t getting any younger, he’s struggled to stay healthy over the past couple of years, and, let’s face it, he’s not a top-tier backcourt defender he once was.
Thus, even if the Lakers keep Rondo for another season, they need their point guard situation. James is running the offense most of the time, they need someone who can be able to take a break or play with ball. Today, we are going to have to let you know about free agency and the trade of the candidates, they should consider signing:
Free Agency Targets
Goran Dragic has embraced his role with the Miami Heat this season, without a moment’s hesitation. However, it seems like he would be better off either starting or coming off the bench for the Lakers, due to the fact they have a greater shot at winning an NBA Championship.
Dragic is not a need to have the ball in his hands in order to make a lasting impression. He can play at the shooting guard spot, or do it for others, if need be, and that’s the kind of versatility that could come in quite handy for Frank Vogel’s team. He would like to have a discount on them, too.
Jeff Teague is a long way from the All-Star point guard he was during his first stint with the Atlanta Hawks. He’s lost his first step and his explosiveness, but he’s still a savvy veteran of the club, that would have been a huge influence on the bench in front of them.
In addition, the Los Angeles Lakers have been craving is a pretty strong ever since the start of the season, Teague is a considerable threat from beyond the arc. More importantly, they would have to offer him a lot of money in order to convince him to move out.
D. J. Augustin.
D. J. Augustin has proven to be a reliable, consistent, and somewhat effective back-up point guard during his entire career in the NBA. In fact, he has earned the nod as the Orlando Magic’s starting point guard last season and did a decent job.
The Lakers need someone who can lead the way to the bank, and Augustin has been used to do just that. He’s an instant offense kind of guy, and an above-the-average playmaker who can help them when LeBron has to sit down, even though he is already 32.
Eric Bledsoe has been good for the Milwaukee Bucks, but he’s a bit of a strange fit alongside Khris Middleton, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Also, let’s not forget the fact that he is represented by Rich Paul, like Anthony Davis and LeBron James.
It does not seem convincing, and Bledsoe has to go back to Los Angeles, it would be a difficult task. Also, the Lakers were able to offer a value in return, Danny Green, and Kyle Kuzma, and so it would be very difficult for the Bucks to show that part of the deal.
Derrick Rose deserves to win an NBA Championship. In addition, he needs to at least have the chance to compete for an NBA Championship. He gets along with LeBron James pretty well and he would definitely have a second chance to prove his worth, next to the King.
Rose has been balling the last couple of seasons, but he was playing meaningless minutes in a losing team. It would be a good idea for you to try and force a move to a Championship contender, and we can’t think of a better fit than the Lakers. They would get to him before Quinn Cook and Kyle Kuzma.
Spencer Dinwiddie is the very definition of a late bloomer. The Teams gave up on him too early and he’s been playing his heart out for the Brooklyn Nets over the last couple of years. He has proven to be able to start up and lead the offense from the second unit.
Dinwiddie, rarely turns the ball over and is a great leader and a playmaker. He is a versatile scorer who should be able to come in very handy for the regular season. Kyrie Irving will return to the Nets next year, so they will be eager to move on to Dinwiddie. The Lakers could get him for, to Get out The band Now.
And, of course, is that there isn’t a better trade candidate than Chris Paul, even in his old age. He turned back the clock this season, and it will lead to a rebuilding team for a top 5 seed in the Western Conference, even against the odds and all the doubters.
The absorption of Paul’s enormous salary, it would be difficult for the regular season, but he’s one of LeBron’s best friends, and it’s the type of player that could clearly be better. He was destined to wear the purple and gold, to the action of the market. The Lakers could get him for, to Get out The band Now.
