In episodes 3 and 4 of “The Last Dance” and the notorious rivalry between Mj and the “Bad Boy” Pistons were examined in detail. One of the things that is evident in the fact that the feelings of resentment and frustration that have been felt by both sides.
Even today, there is a lot of resentment towards each other, and many post-season battles.
“I hated it,” Jordan said in episode 4 “. “The hatred runs even to this day. They made it personal.”
One of the defining moments of the rivalry in the wake of the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals, when Thomas and the other Pistons players walked off the court instead of shaking hands after the game.
According to Thomas, it was one of the main reasons it left off the 1992 Dream Team, a decision that still haunts him to this day.
“That’s a big hole in my [basketball] again,” Thomas continued. “This is the the biggest it’s a hole in my resume. In the sports arena, I’ve won at every level. I’ve been trying to do what’s right, and I thought to myself, that I have made the Dream Team. And, looking back, if I wasn’t a part of the Dream Team, because it is a void of emotion in terms of not shaking someone’s hand, and then I’ll be more disappointed than I was back then.”

The idea is that it just doesn’t shake hands after that game, how much is a Thomas a spot on the team, it is nice to have a few, including MJ’s son, Marcus.
Really, this is the main reason as to why he was not selected for The Dream Team??

There’s probably a lot more that goes into it than that. At the moment, as Jordan and the Bulls watched the Pistons (Thomas) as their number one enemy. All the fights, all the tough talk, they exchanged it for a real bitterness between the two sides, and that only grew as the years went by.
So, while Thomas’s decision to walk off the court in 1991, and a reason as to why he was left off the Dream Team, and there are years worth of reasons as to why Michael refused to go with him to play for Team USA.
