New Orleans Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball is a unique step, in order to protest against the death of George on the Cover, in the hands of the Minneapolis police department last week.

The ball was recently featured on a new song entitled,”Don ‘ t Shoot Me“that addresses racial profiling by uniformed personnel of the law. In the Mediterranean, a playmaker and was gracious enough to lend his voice to sing the hook of that new rap song (h/t Tyler Conway of Bleacher Report):

Don’t shoot me Don’t shoot me)
Officer, don’t shoot me Don’t shoot me)
I can assure you that I have received from the family (A little girl)
And to keep it off my neck, all I could do not to breathe)
Don’t shoot me Don’t shoot me)
Officer, don’t shoot me, Officer)
I can assure you that I have received from the family (and I’m a girl)
And to keep it off my neck, all I could do not to breathe)

This is powerful stuff, because it takes the perspective of the oppressed African-American man who was the victim of racism by the police. One can’t help but wonder what it would have been the last thoughts of George on the Cover itself, in the moments before he died.

We also have a compliment, Lonzo Ball for the action he will take to this gripping problem. In the Mediterranean, that the young person has, even in the streets, and recently, along with his brothers, LeMelo and LiAngelo, when they are gathered together in protest at their California near Chino Hills, california.

Ball and his team mate JJ Reddick was also a key player in the newly-founded Social Justice Leadership, a Coalition formed by the Pelicans organization.

Aside from the Ball, and the Pelicans, and more, the NBA teams, players, and coaches are doing their part to make a change in the community and in the fight against racism. In fact, Steve Kerr, Lloyd, Rick and Gregg Popovich have been the result of racial injustice and the reforms of the committee set up by the National Basketball Coaches Association.
