Jermaine Jenas has made the label from Nicolas Pepe, as one of the transfer flops of the season, and a lot of the “bad things” for the Area.

The 25-year-old joined the Gunners in a £72 million deal from Lille last summer and has so far struggled to meet his high price tag.

Pepe registered an impressive 22 goals and 11 assists in Ligue 1 last season but haven’t been able to replicate that form in the Premier League, scoring just five league goals, with six assists this term.

In the discussion of the new recruits, who have flopped this season, Jenas told BBC Radio 5 Live that the ivory coast winger is up there with Newcastle’s £40m signing, Joelinton after a disappointing debut campaign, considering its high price tag.

“Oh, god. yes. That is Joelinton, I think. It’s for the money, it’s as simple as that, ” the former midfielder with a move to me.

“The amount of money that has been spent on it in terms of what he has made, and what you will actually be able to see it.

“Anyone can have a bad season.

“I don’t know, but a lot of people are talking about Thierry Henry’s first season at Arsenal, and that it is not at all going for him.

“I have not seen this particular player. So, that situation is bad, business, to-the-minute.’
