George Kittle is to be paid as a receiver, by Steve Young

It’s not a matter of that to George Kittle was popular on the San Francisco 49ers in his three seasons in the Bay Area. Right now, Hall of Famer and legend, Steve Young has said that the franchise has to get the money where their mouth is and pay out of the tight end and wide receiver.

“It doesn’t matter how you cut the data, it has been proven to be. George Kittle is one of the most talented players in the league, and is one of the most productive,” Steve Young said of the 49ers QB is on the Tolbert, Krueger and Brooks ‘ show by NBC Sports. “They will have to pay him like a wide receiver, they’re going to have to have it, and George knows that. The problem is, it is possible to have a hybrid, I’m going to agree with you that it is not necessarily each and every dollar of that to a wide receiver, but he’s not going to get caught up in the tight end position.”

As the 49ers’ tight end, Kittle, is the option quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and the offense. He has just over 1,000 receiving yards in each of the past two seasons, scoring a total of 10 touchdowns. He did all of this with a typical tight end a contract, even though, as we all know, he deserves so much more.

Kittle is in the final year of his four-year rookie contract with the 49ers, according to recent reports, he is ready to sign a new massive contract which could earn him a lot more than just a tight end in the NFL today.

At the moment the highest-paid tight end in the league, it is the Hunter Henry, who is set to make a $10.6 million the Los Angeles Chargers. Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper is in second place with $10.5 million a year.
