INDIA’s largest commercial shipbuilder, Cochin Shipyard Ltd (CSL) on Wednesday said it has signed contracts for the construction and delivery of two separate electric ferry in Norway, on the basis of the ASKO Marine, with an option to build two identical ships.
CSL has been in the construction industry, 23 of hybrid electric boats for the Chinese and the Water Tube. It will export the to a detailed evaluation of a number of worldwide shipyards, and on the basis of the value proposition for the customer, the Chinese-based shipbuilding company said in a press release.
ASKO Marine and its wholly-owned subsidiary of the group, NorgesGruppen ASA, it is one of the largest companies in the Norwegian retail market.

The project is co-funded by the Norwegian Government, aimed at emissions-free transportation of goods around the Oslo fjord, CSL said.
